Leandro Díaz scores new goal for Estudiantes

The striker scored in the Pincha's win against Lanús at the UNO stadium.

Leandro Díaz continues the scoring streak he had at the end of last season at the start of the Copa de la Liga. After scoring against Huracán on Matchday 2, he also scored against Lanús in Pincha’s 2-1 home win.

El Loco, who came on as a substitute because the coach rested him for the Copa Libertadores match against Audax Italiano (first leg of the second round), came on after 20 minutes for Mauro Boselli and eight minutes later he was on the scoresheet with a stunning goal.

The striker found himself with the ball in the box, latched on to it twice and left-footed a powerful shot that left the keeper with no chance.

Diaz now has 16 goals with the Pincha shirt and although they were not consecutive, he scored 11 goals in the last 11 games of the Lion.

Congratulations Leandro! We are happy to accompany you in your career.
