The goalscoring streak continues: Leandro Díaz scores again

The Estudiantes striker scored the equaliser in the 1-1 draw against Velez.

Fourteen goals in the last fifteen games have been scored by Leandro Díaz. Last night, the San Miguel de Tucuman native scored in Estudiantes’ 1-1 draw against Velez in the fifth match of the Copa de la Liga.

El Loco, who was on the substitutes’ bench as he was rested for the first leg of the Copa Libertadores tie against Everton, came on at the start of the second half in place of Carlo Lattanzio and scored the equaliser after 43 minutes.

The goal came after a cross from the left by Emanuel Mas, which Gustavo Del Prete combed into the path of the ball, and Diaz at the far post headed a cross that left goalkeeper Lucas Hoyos with no chance.

This is the fourth goal he has scored in the tournament, having scored against: Huracán, Lanús, Arsenal and the Liniers side. He also scored the goal that allowed Pincha to advance against Audax Italiano in the Copa Libertadores.

Congratulations Leandro! We are happy to accompany you in your career.
